WORDWRANGLER
Things continue to be written by me.
1. I've got a
piece about the Rock Band Network in today's Boston Herald. This is the freshly launched service that lets bands and labels turn their music into downloadable Rock Band tracks while also rapidly expanding the game's potential song catalogue. Authoring a song is a mighty damn complicated process and I'm not sure if I'll ever finish either of the Je Suis France and Reports songs I started work on. It's also a potentially great source of embarrassing music. Most annoying thing I've found on RBN: a song by the band Broadcast. Okay, not
THE band Broadcast but
A band called Broadcast, namely a midwestern emo-ish group who've apparently never heard the English Broadcast who've been putting out records since the edges of my mustache still didn't quite reach my beard.
2. I had
a few comic reviews in yesterday's Herald, with brief notes on
Mome Volume 17,
Hotwire Comics #3, and
Newave! The Underground Mini Comix of the 1980s.
3. This week's Herald trifekta launched with Monday's
review of God of War III.
4. Finally I also have a
short review of the latest Aliens vs. Predator game in this week's Weekly Dig.
You think this shit is boring to read, imagine what it's like writing it all.
